Summer Styling Evening: Fashion, Confidence & Fun
There’s nothing we love more than getting together with the Sevenoaks Mums and bringing the Sevenoaks community together for an evening of style, fizz and fashion inspiration. Our latest Summer Styling Evening was exactly that – a relaxed night filled with beautiful clothes, expert styling advice, makeup tips, lots of laughter and, most importantly, the confidence to try something new all in our showroom in Sevenoaks.
From bold colour combinations to fresh takes on wardrobe staples, the evening proved that style isn't about following rules – it's about wearing what makes you feel amazing.
Thank you to everyone who joined us. Seeing so many of you trying on new looks, asking questions and stepping outside your comfort zones is exactly why we love hosting these Sevenoaks events.
Our Top 5 Summer Styling Takeaways
🐆 1. Leopard Print is the New Denim
If you're wondering how to instantly modernise your wardrobe, this was probably our biggest takeaway of the evening.
Leopard print really is a neutral. Instead of reaching for your favourite denim jacket or jeans, swap them for leopard print pieces. A leopard skirt works beautifully with a simple white tee, colourful knit or crisp shirt, adding personality without overwhelming your outfit.
Think of leopard as your new everyday basic.
✨ 2. Clash the Unexpected
The most memorable outfits are often the ones that shouldn't work... but absolutely do.
We loved creating unexpected combinations such as:
- A camo jacket over a silky slip skirt.
- Cowboy boots with a floaty Ibiza dress.
- Feminine dresses mixed with chunky accessories.
Mixing soft with tough, smart with casual and feminine with utility creates an effortless, fashion-forward look that's full of personality.
🌈 3. Don't Be Afraid of Colour
If you love a colour and it makes you feel confident, wear it.
Whether that's a vibrant pink dress, a bold cobalt blue top or a colourful accessory, confidence is always the best thing you can wear.
The room was full of colour and smiles—and the two definitely go hand in hand.
💚 4. Try Something You Wouldn't Normally Pick
How many times have you walked straight to the same colour or the same style?
Our styling evenings are all about encouraging you to experiment.
Try the dress you thought wouldn't suit you.
Wear the colour you normally avoid.
Step into the boots you never imagined owning.
You genuinely never know until you try—and some of the biggest "wow" moments of the evening came from people wearing something completely unexpected.
💖 5. Love Neutrals? Add Colour Through Accessories
If bright clothing isn't your thing, that's absolutely fine.
Instead, let your accessories do the talking.
Chunky colourful necklaces, statement links, bold earrings or vibrant bags are an easy way to lift an outfit without stepping too far outside your comfort zone.
Sometimes just one pop of colour is all you need.
Makeup Tips We Loved
A huge thank you to our makeup expert for sharing some brilliant, achievable beauty tips that make getting ready that little bit easier.
✔ Use a CC Cream
Choose a CC cream that adapts to your skin tone for the most natural, fresh-looking complexion. Perfect for summer when heavy foundation isn't always needed.
✔ Switch to Tubular Mascara
Tubular mascara builds beautiful lashes while resisting smudging throughout the day—ideal for warm weather and busy days.
✔ Finish with a Fixing Spray
Lock your makeup in place with a fixing spray to keep everything looking fresh from morning coffee through to evening drinks.
✔ Lift Your Blusher
Apply blusher high on the tops of your cheekbones to create a naturally lifted, glowing finish.
Thank You
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made the evening such a success. Whether you left with a new outfit, a fresh styling idea or simply a little more confidence, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
We can't wait to host our next styling evening, so keep an eye on our social channels for future events.
