Excited to share our collaboration with Patsy’s Style Fix on an exclusive styling and colour analysis session. Set against the beautiful backdrop of The Nest Health in Chipstead, Sevenoaks, Patsy guided attendees through discovering their perfect palette. She explored how skin undertones, hair, and eye colour influence which hues naturally lift and enhance personal style, helping attendees find the colours that truly make them shine.

Why Wearing the Right Colours Matters

Wearing colours that complement your skin tone, hair, and eye colour can:

  • Enhance Your Features: The right shades make your complexion glow, eyes and hair colour pop.
  • Boost Confidence: When you feel good in your outfit, it shows!
  • Create Harmony: The right colours can make your outfit look balanced and cohesive.

How to Find Your Colours

Start by identifying your skin undertone :

  • Warm undertones : Yellow, peachy, or golden hues.
  • Cool undertones : Pink, red, or bluish hues.
  • Neutral undertones : A mix of warm and cool tones.

Once you know your undertone, choose colours that harmonise with it. For example:

  • Warm tones : Earthy shades like mustard, olive, coral, and gold.
  • Cool tones : Jewel tones like emerald green, sapphire blue, and cranberry red.
  • Neutral tones : Versatile shades like soft taupe, navy, and dusty pink.

Understanding the Colour Wheel

The colour wheel is a stylist’s secret weapon! It helps determine:

  • Complementary Colours: These are opposite on the wheel (e.g., blue and orange) and create striking contrast.
  • Analogous Colours: These sit side by side (e.g., green and blue) for a harmonious, subtle look.
  • Monochromatic Looks: Using different shades of the same colour family for a chic, streamlined outfit.

Stylist Colour Systems

Many stylists use seasonal colour analysis (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) to determine the shades that suit you best.

  • Spring: Warm, light colours like peach, light green, and cream.

  • Summer: Cool, soft colours like lavender, powder blue, and light grey.

  • Autumn: Warm, deep shades like burnt orange, mustard, and forest green.

  • Winter: Cool, bold colours like black, white, navy, and ruby red.

Experiment!

Finding your perfect palette is a journey! Play with colours, try different combinations, and have fun discovering what makes you feel your best.
